Teacher Training

Educational facilities in Afghanistan, particularly in rural areas, have faced significant challenges such as the lack of qualified teachers over the years. The teachers often receive insufficient salaries, limiting their opportunities for professional development. To address this issue, CAWC has implemented a teacher training program designed for teachers in rural and remote areas of Daikondi and Bamiyan provinces. This program features were structured training curriculum that empowers principals and supervisors to effectively support teachers in enhancing their skills and confidence within the classroom environment.
The curriculum is organized into six workshops, each concentrating on a specific topic. These topics encompass key aspects such as the characteristics that define an effective classroom, diverse learning styles among students, the principles of lesson planning, and practical strategies for effective classroom management.
Additionally, teachers acquired valuable skills in creating a master calendar for the academic year, designing informative and engaging bulletin boards, fostering effective collaboration, and accommodating students with diverse learning needs. This initiative aims to elevate the overall quality of education and support the professional growth of teachers in rural areas.
