RHU

CAWC with the support of UNHCR, implemented the installation of Refugee Housing Units (RHUs) in Bamiyan and Daikondi provinces schools to provide enough space for students to learn and have access to classrooms.
Refugee Housing Unit (RHU) is a self-standing, sustainable and durable shelter, designed through a collaboration between UNHCR, the social enterprise Better Shelter and the IKEA Foundation designed and used for refugee families who must stay at refugee camps for years. UNHCR- Afghanistan office donated the RHUs for schools that do not have buildings or face a lack of space for their students during education time.
