Peace Building
Armed conflict, political instability poverty and natural disaster destructed the life foundations in all Afghanistan. During the past 20 years the international community contributed for reconstruction of the country in different sectors but eventually this intervention did not lead to a satisfactory result and remarkable development; particularly the political changes and precipitated collapse of government on Aug 2021 which caused the most problems, and set the country back for many years.
Afghanistan has witnessed major changes in the distribution of income in recent years. During the last one and half decade, it has enjoyed a relatively revival in its economic opportunities, after more than two decades of war in the country. With such long sustained war comes economic crisis, aid-dependent economy, loss of infrastructure and human lives, forced displacement of population, lack of trust in the governing body, and social tension. In cases of conflict-prone countries like Afghanistan, social tension can lead to further conflicts
- Establishing viable solutions to ending and dealing with conflicts at the community level
- Focusing on youth and women’s participation to contest SGBV
- Monitoring peace negotiations at the community level
- Instigating peace-building programs
- Integrating peace-building initiatives into projects
- Collaborating with influential actors and community Shuras to influence the conflict
